Belarus plans to increase the export of food products and agricultural raw materials to $12 billion by 2030. The matter was discussed at a Belarusian-Pakistani business forum, which was co-chaired by Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Aleksandr Yakovchits and President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sardar Tahir Mehmood, the press service of the Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.

By 2030 Belarus plans to raise the output of milk to 10.5 million tonnes and the output of meat to over 2 million, with the export of food products and agricultural raw materials expected to go up to $12 billion. Today Belarus-made food products are shipped to more than 100 countries.

«In our product basket Pakistani consumers will find elite cheeses, canned beef with the shelf life of up to four years, and canned dairy products, including condensed milk that has been known since the days of the Soviet Union,» Aleksandr Yakovchits noted.

Dialogue between representatives of the business communities of the two countries will become the starting point on the way to signing specific commercial contracts and agreements.
