Belarus and Algeria have the potential to agree on the implementation of numerous projects, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during a meeting with Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf in Minsk on 6 August, BelTA has learned.

Belarus’ foreign merchandise trade amounted to $50.2915 billion in January-June 2026, BelTA learned from the website of the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.

Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin has signed the resolution implementing a pilot project to partially compensate transport and logistics costs for food exports, the government’s press service told BelTA.

Exports of Russian agricultural technologies have reached US$5.9 billion since the start of 2026, which is 6 per cent higher than the figure for the same period last year. This export category includes products that directly impact the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex: mineral fertilisers and plant protection products, seeds, breeding stock and genetic material, veterinary medicines and biotechnology products. Demand for such solutions and technologies is growing worldwide, including in countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
