Dating back over 400 years, the Roman Catholic Church of St. Archangel Michael in Novogrudok has been captured in paintings, survived 20th-century devastation, and been essentially rebuilt from the ground up. Today, it houses a wealth of historical treasures. The church’s rector, Father Yuri Zhegarin, shared the story of this remarkable place and its most significant artifacts with BelTA’s correspondent.

Chinese scientists have discovered new cyprinid fish fossils from the early and middle Miocene of the Lunpola Basin in northwest China’s Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. These findings indicate that fish diversity on the plateau was notably high between 18 and 15 million years ago.
