There are no absolutely indifferent people in Belarus, and life forces every citizen to fulfill their tasks with quality, precision, and on time. State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich shared this opinion as he met with a number of specialists of agricultural enterprises undergoing that have been drafted for military refresher courses, BelTA has learned.

«There are no absolutely indifferent people in our country. We simply need to work with them. Today life forces every citizen of the country to perform their tasks with quality, precision, and on time. This applies to everyone: military personnel, teachers, doctors, and even more so heads of agricultural enterprises. Our harvest is affected by a clear setting of tasks, deadlines, the timeliness of harvesting the crops, and by the discipline the employees of enterprises work with, especially employees of agricultural enterprises,» Aleksandr Volfovich noted.

In his words, currently, upon instructions of the Belarus president refresher courses have been organized for specialists and workers of agricultural enterprises who were slacking off during the harvesting campaign, for those, who demonstrated poor discipline and, according to the heads of the enterprises, did not wish to perform the tasks set for them.

«About 500 people have been drafted. Two main teams have been formed: one was assembled at premises of the 103rd Separate Guards Airborne Brigade in Vitebsk. These are individuals subject to military service and assigned to military registration and enlistment offices. Steps have been taken to improve their cohesion and refresh military skills. Together with representatives of the special operations forces, they are carrying out tasks to cover the southern borders: by performing terrain fortification, by carrying out training and combat tasks to patrol particularly dangerous areas of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border,» he added.

The second group of military personnel undergoing the refresher training exercise was assembled at premises of the 30th Separate Railway Brigade in Slutsk. «Working in the Slutsk garrison, I could not pass up the opportunity to come and meet with them,» Aleksandr Volfovich emphasized. «It was interesting to talk with this category of citizens and hear out the commanders. According to their feedback, they perform their tasks conscientiously and strive to be exemplary military personnel. People have been squeezed into limits of the army. They have a clear, strict routine. This means that army life, the way of living, clear formulation of tasks, and accountability leave a certain mark on these civilians.»

In his opinion, much depends on the managerial personnel on the ground. They must clearly set tasks and specific milestones for the day and for the week in order to get results. Then they will get smooth and timely harvesting and proper work. The same principles apply in the army.

«While talking to the people, I saw a lively response in their eyes and an understanding of the unfolding situation. We briefly touched upon matters of the military-political situation. Many of them have already drawn certain conclusions and will do honest work at their place of residence,» Aleksandr Volfovich concluded.
