Volfovich: Harvesters are in high spirits

State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich visited a number of agricultural organizations in Oshmyany District, Grodno Oblast on 4 August, BelTA has learned.



Aleksandr Volfovich, who serves as the president’s authorized representative in Grodno Oblast, had his focus on the progress in the harvesting campaign.

The state secretary of the Security Council took an interest in the technical condition of agricultural and other machinery, the rate of utilization of grain harvesters and high-powered machines, the grain drying facilities and the availability of mechanization personnel.

During conversations with the district leadership, heads of agricultural organizations, and law enforcement representatives, emerging issues and the measures being taken to address them were also discussed. Special attention was paid to preventing cases of mismanagement, theft of fuels and lubricants, plant protection products, spare parts for agricultural machinery, and falsification of crop yield data.

Right out in the fields, those taking part in the harvest shared their success stories with the state secretary of the Security Council.

«People are in high spirits, and not only in the agricultural organizations of Oshmyany District,» Aleksandr Volfovich noted in a conversation with BelTA. «Over the past few days, I have met with farmers from the districts of Svisloch, Zelva, Smorgon, and other places of Grodno Oblast. Every single one of them is deeply invested in the task entrusted to them, eager to contribute to making Grodno Oblast a harvest leader.

According to Aleksandr Volfovich, military personnel and emergency responders are also working successfully alongside the farmers as combine operators, drivers, and tractor operators and these days, the help of people in uniform is especially valuable.
