The President has been briefed on the progress made in the fish breeding industry in 2025, as well as on the prospects for its development within the five-year plan in progress, including the measures to increase high-value species production.
In 2025, Belarus produced 14,400 tonnes of fish material, of them 12,900 tonnes of pond fish, 600 tonnes of high-value species, and 900 tonnes of freshwater fish. According to Agriculture and Food Minister Yuri Gorlov, given the construction of fish farms similar to Paluzh, the output of rainbow trout and other high-value items is estimated to reach 3,000 tonnes by 2030.
