The head of state emphasized first that the new educational institution should have a practical purpose. «I do not rule out that this research center will include many fundamental elements. But it must have an applied focus, for real life. Preferably not for the distant future,» the president said. «We need to create something that will be needed tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.»
