Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed: «We’ve determined a vector for a new stage of development of integration in all directions.» In particular, an instruction has been given to prepare the key guidelines on implementing the Union State Treaty provisions for another cycle: for 2027-2029.
The president asked members of the Supreme State Council, of the governments and the parliaments of Belarus and Russia, and the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia to establish serious oversight over the fulfillment of the adopted instructions with maximum personal involvement.
Apart from that, the president expressed gratitude to everyone for serious comprehensive preparations for the current session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
The Belarusian head of state also thanked representatives of mass media for their great efforts to popularize the integration agenda and the decisions being made at the top level in the interests of residents of Belarus and Russia.
After the session State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Sergey Glazyev told reporters that a report on fulfilling the key guidelines on implementing provisions of the Union State Treaty in 2024-2026 had been a very important item on the agenda of the session.
«Practically half of all the tasks of this document have been fulfilled. There is no doubt that the rest will be fulfilled by the end of the year,» the state secretary said. «It is very important that an instruction has been given to work out the key guidelines for the next three years, for 2027-2029. We expect that the level of integration, of coordination of our policies in all spheres as well as cooperation not only in economy but in science and technology, in social and cultural policies would get a new impulse. As Aleksandr Grigoryevich [Lukashenko] said, a new stage in the advancement of our integration is about to begin.»
