The cargo, consisting of Belarusian-made goods weighing approximately 27 tonnes, was received by the leadership of the Department of Dike Management and Natural Disaster Prevention of Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
Oleg Shloma, Minister-Counselor of the Belarusian Embassy, noted that Vietnam can always count on fraternal assistance from Belarus in dealing with the aftermath of natural disasters and emergencies. The Belarusian diplomat expressed hope that the delivered cargo would provide significant help to the many affected Vietnamese families, and that the continuation of this fine tradition would make an important contribution to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, established in May 2025, as well as the friendship between their peoples, and would help develop interregional ties and people-to-people contacts.
The event was also attended by the leadership of Quang Tri Province, one of the provinces hardest hit by the floods, as well as representatives of Vietnamese customs and immigration authorities and the media.
