In January-June 2026, the volume of investment increased by 4.1% year-on-year, up from 1.5% in January-May. This acceleration is largely attributed to the construction sector returning to growth (up 1.9%) and stronger growth in equipment investment (up 9.4%).
«State support for investment activity continues to play an important role. Investments financed from the budget rose by 11.4%, while investment through concessional loans nearly doubled. Given the expanding investment activity, we forecast Belarus’ GDP growth above 1.5% in 2026,» EDB analysts noted.
