Parliamentarians need to make full use of their powers to implement adopted decisions, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko said during the first meeting of the fourth session of the House of Representatives of the eighth convocation on 15 September, BelTA has learned.

According to the speaker, the constitutional reform and the 2025 presidential election clearly demonstrated the people’s trust in the government and their commitment to an evolutionary path of development.

«The Belarusian People’s Congress is already operating as a constitutional body, and we serve as its delegates. Our key task, including for the upcoming session, is to make the most of the available powers for the practical implementation of the adopted decisions. This was exactly what the head of state emphasized during our recent meeting,» Igor Sergeyenko said.

He stressed that the top priority is building a legislative framework to achieve the goals of Belarus’ social and economic development program for 2026-2030.
