Following online negotiations with a BUCE representative, the Vyatka Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed its readiness to launch an information campaign to familiarize Kirov Oblast’s business community with the opportunities offered by exchange mechanisms.
As emphasized by Vyatka CCI Senior Vice President Mikhail Galtsov, the exchange can become part of the broader set of export-support tools actively used by Kirov Oblast’s enterprises when selling their products abroad, including to Belarus.
«I believe that exchange trading will fit naturally into the export toolkit available to our chamber’s members, many of whom already supply their products to Belarus or plan to do so in the foreseeable future. Organizing sales through the exchange offers a number of advantages, both in terms of reaching the target consumer audience and ensuring transparency and security of transactions. That is why we are ready to use our resources to raise awareness among Kirov Oblast’s businesses about the specifics of participating in trading on the Belarusian exchange platform,» Mikhail Galtsov said.
According to BUCE, in 2025 the exchange trade between Belarus and Kirov Oblast gained momentum. Thanks to active sales of Belarusian sawn timber and leather semi-finished products, the total value of exchange transactions involving Kirov Oblast’s companies increased 43-fold compared to 2024. Despite this growth, the potential for developing exchange cooperation is still far from fully realized. Significant reserves remain in such segments as chemical products, the forestry sector, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, and the food industry.
As of 26 February 2026, BUCE accredited 20 business entities from Kirov Oblast, four of which became users of the Belarusian electronic platform in 2025-2026.
Founded in 2004, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange conducted its first trading session in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest commodity exchanges in Eastern Europe. Its main function is to assist Belarusian enterprises with export and foreign companies with entering the Belarusian market. BUCE sells a wide range of metal, forestry and agricultural products, industrial and consumer goods.
