As of 29 July, grain harvest including rapeseed amounted to 3.022 million tonnes, which is one million more than on the same date last year.

By region, the progress in the harvest looks as follows: Brest Oblast — 857,000 tonnes, Minsk Oblast — 620,000 tonnes, Grodno Oblast — 590,000 tonnes, Gomel Oblast — 492,000 tonnes, Mogilev Oblast — 291,000 tonnes, Vitebsk Oblast — 172,000 tonnes.

Grain and leguminous crops (including rapeseed, without corn) have been harvested from 862,000 hectares or 35% of the areas (2,432,000 hectares in total).

Flax has been pulled across the area of 27,000 hectares, or 62% of the target. «Pace is twice as high as last year in all regions of the country,» the ministry said.

Deliveries under the state procurement order include: 61,000 tonnes of food grain (9% of the 663,000-tonne target); 76,000 tonnes of rapeseed (46% of the 100,000-tonne target); and 21,000 tonnes of malting barley (25% of the 86,000-tonne target).

Second cut was harvested across an area of 692,000 hectares or 68% of the plan.

Hay production has reached 425,000 tonnes or 59% of the plan. Silage harvest progress stands at 351,000 tonnes. Forage grasses total 3,383,000 tonnes or 33% of the target. Haylage production has reached 10,957,000 tonnes, or 77% of the target. 

Fertilizer stocks (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) for winter planting have been procured at 107% of the planned requirement.
