The first stop on the journalists' press tour of these places was the Myadel Hotel, located on the shore of the lake. Its windows offer picturesque views of Lake Myastro and the embankment, which draw guests into an atmosphere of relaxation and rest. The next stop was the Myadel Physical Culture and Health Centre, one of the most modern facilities in the country.

Developing both tourism and countryside

The Myadel District is one of the most popular tourist areas in the Minsk Region and the country as a whole. The Naroch zone has a large number of health resorts and wellness centres. Great attention is being paid to the development of agro-ecotourism in the Minsk Region. Today, there are 396 agro-farmsteads in the Central Region. This is not only a place of rest for people who want to learn more about life in the countryside, but also contributes to the development of rural settlements themselves.

The Naroch Region, whose resort area covers almost 30% of its territory, is a unique place. The main attractions of the region are its beautiful lakes. Among them, the largest is Lake Naroch, whose surface area covers 80 square kilometres. Health tourism in the Myadel Region is represented by nine health resorts of various types. Religious tourism includes more than 100 different sites, including architectural and historical monuments. Sports tourism is represented both in sanatoriums and resorts and in agro-farmsteads.

Local authorities, realizing the uniqueness of the Naroch Region, are obliged to maintain and develop various areas of infrastructure. For these purpose, a set of measures has been developed in 2024. Its sections include more than 70 measures of various directions.

The external appearance of the district center is also changing, which is becoming even more attractive for tourists. The city beach has been reconstructed here, a swimming pool has been put into operation, which has supplemented the infrastructure of the sports and recreation complex, and the stadium has been modernized.

The brand of sanatoriums is quality medical component

Both Belarusians and foreigners love health resorts. Last year alone, 81 thousand guests from 57 countries visited the sanatoriums, which is 10 thousand more than in 2023, said Irina Yevseeva, Head of the Minsk Regional Office of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanitary Resort Treatment of the Population. “Of them — 76% are Belarusians and 24% foreign citizens. For 5 months of 2025 the number of foreign citizens has already increased by 3.5% and amounted to 27.5%. The first place is occupied by tourists from Russia, the second — from Latvia, followed by Azerbaijan, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Syria, China and others,” she emphasized. According to Irina Yevseeva, there are 51 health resorts and sanatoriums certified health organizations in the Minsk Region. In total, there are 97 sanatoriums in the country, 30 of which are in the Minsk Region. A significant part of them is located in the Myadel District.
