«Welcome to those who respect our laws»: What do Belarusians think about labor migrants?
The Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus conducted a comprehensive nationwide sociological survey in July-August 2026 at the request of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research (BISR). Two parts of the survey have been presented, focusing on current issues of Belarus’ social and economic development and social and political topics. Among other things, Belarusians were asked about their attitudes toward attracting labor migrants to Belarus. The majority of respondents said they viewed them neutrally as long as they complied with the law. A BelTA correspondent asked residents of Vitebsk Oblast for their views.
Türkiye's internet usage rate rises to 92.3% in 2026
Internet usage among Turkish people aged 16 to 74 rose from 90.9% to 92.3% this year, according to a recent survey by the country’s statistical bureau, TurkStat.
