The 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) will take place on 3-6 June. The event, held annually under the patronage of the Russian president, will gather more than 20,000 participants from 130 countries this year, BelTA learned from the Kremlin press service.

The Gomel Economic Forum (20th edition) will take place in Gomel on 21–22 May, BelTA learned from the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.

The Oval Hall of the Government House, which is hosting the large-scale national forum «Woman and the future of the countryside» today, has gathered those who strive to make life in rural areas brighter, more interesting and more comfortable, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko said during the opening of the forum in Minsk on 3 March, BelTA has learned.

In his video address to the participants of the 12th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, which is running in Nizhny Novgorod, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized the special role of the young generation in shaping the future of their countries, BelTA has learned.

Peoples of Belarus and Russia have strong kinship ties, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a video address to the participants of the plenary session of the 12th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia on 27 June, BelTA has learned.

There are currently nearly 600 cooperation agreements in effect between regions of Belarus and Russia, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova said, BelTA has learned.
