Belarus hosts nearly 170,000 visa-waiver travelers since 1 January 2026
Since 1 January 2026, Belarus has welcomed 169,338 travelers from 38 countries included in the visa-waiver program. The majority of travelers came from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.
Foreign tourist arrivals to Russia rise by 20% in first half of 2026
In the first half of 2026, the number of foreign tourists visiting Russia increased by 20 per cent to 2.5 million. More than 22 per cent of foreign visitors were Chinese citizens. This was announced by Nikita Kondratiev, Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects at the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
